A little bit about me.

About Me

My name is Stephen Melrose and I live in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. I specialise in digital development with emphasis on server side programming, rich content, web standards and accessibility.

I currently work for the digital agency MadeByPi as a Junior Developer.

What I Do

As mentioned above, I am a digital developer. More specifically,

• I program in PHP using techniques such as Object Oriented programming, MySQL database integration, Smarty templating, and much more.
• I create rich website content using Adobe Flash with ActionScript 2 and 3.
• I design user interfaces that are both welcoming and functional making a website easy to use.
• I create custom built Content Management Systems that allow users to edit their own websites with almost no development knowledge.
• I program HTML and CSS layouts that are functional, accessible, standards compliant and search engine optimised.
